Overview
Keyboard hints for ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. Drill into any AI response — block, sentence, or word — then copy or fire a prompt.
Try the interactive demo (no install needed): https://asdprompt.com Hint labels appear next to every text block. Type a letter to select it. Keep typing to drill down: block → sentence → word. Then copy the AI response, or fire a follow-up prompt — all without touching the mouse. Four keystrokes. Hands never leave the keyboard. HOW IT WORKS 1. ⌘/Ctrl+Shift+S — activate the overlay 2. Type a hint letter — select a text block 3. Drill down (optional) — narrow to sentence, then word 4. Act — Enter to copy, or your current action fires automatically ACTIONS Pick a profile to get preset actions on keys 1–0: Student — Simplify, Quiz me, Summarize, Counterargument, Make analogy, Prerequisites, Real-world example, Compare Professional — Shorten, Draft email, Bullet points, Slack message, Extract action items, Soften tone, Talking points, Pros & cons, Exec summary, Fact-check Researcher — Find risks, How to verify, Key questions, Best practice, Key findings, Find assumptions, Counterevidence, Implications, Synthesize, Find gaps Creator — Make funny, Social post, Make casual, Write hook, Draft tweet, Make thread, LinkedIn post, Newsletter blurb, Add metaphor, Hot take Or build your own — write a prompt template with {text} and the selected text gets injected automatically. TEMPLATE BAR Your current action is always visible at the bottom of the overlay. Select text and it fills template slots automatically. Tab cycles to the next action. Arrow keys switch profiles. / opens the full action menu. Press Space (or click a slot) to type free text into any template slot. A command palette bar appears with a real text input — supports native shortcuts like Cmd+V, Cmd+A, Option+Delete, and Shift+Enter for newlines. Multi-slot templates like "Compare {1} with {2}" let you select two pieces of text before submitting. Templates support custom parameter names: "Translate {text} to {language}" · "Explain {topic} using {analogy}" Press / to open the action menu where you can edit any template inline. Press R to rename profiles. NAVIGATE LONG CONVERSATIONS [b] Bookmark — save your scroll position, press again to jump back. Hold to remove. Conversation outline — a panel on the right edge tracks every turn. Hover to expand, click to jump.
