Export single or multiple claude.ai chats to a ZIP with structured JSON, uploaded files, and generated artifacts.

A lightweight extension that exports your claude.ai conversations to a single ZIP containing structured JSON, your uploaded source files, and Claude‑generated artifacts. It works by safely calling claude.ai's internal JSON API from inside the page (using your active session) rather than scraping the DOM. This is dramatically more reliable and captures things the rendered page hides (thinking blocks, every artifact version, file references). What you get in the ZIP Single chat chat-export.json: Full conversation, metadata, and file references. uploaded_files/: Your uploaded source files in their original format. generated_artifacts/: Claude's artifacts and generated files. Bulk export index.json manifest. One folder per chat containing its respective JSON and files. Usage Simply open https://claude.ai and sign in. There are three ways to start an export: Floating button: A small Export button sits in the bottom‑right of every claude.ai page. Click it to open the export panel. Toolbar popup: Click the extension icon in your browser toolbar to open the export panel or quickly export the current chat. Panel: Filter and search your chats, select one or many, then click Export selected. Options: Metadata only: Exports just the chat-export.json without downloading file attachments. A progress bar shows the packing status, and a toast reports any files that couldn't be downloaded. Privacy & Important Notes Your data only. All processing is 100% local; nothing is sent anywhere except your normal, direct requests to claude.ai. No analytics, no external servers. Unofficial API. This is a community tool that interacts with claude.ai's internal endpoints to generate the export. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic. Everything is built in memory. This is fine for typical chats, but avoid exporting hundreds of massive attachments at once (stay under ~4 GB per archive).
