Export a Claude conversation and you expect the conversation. Most exporters give you part of it: the tool results, the generated files, the attachments and the images quietly don't make it into the file, and nothing tells you. Chat Toolbox checks every export against the original before you see it, and tells you what it found. ▍WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT Every export ends with a receipt: how many messages, tool results, thinking blocks and attachments it carried, and how many passages were verified present in the file. If anything is missing, it says so. If you switched something off, the file says so where the content would have been. That receipt is written into the file as well. Open the export a year later, or send it to somebody with no extension installed, and the document still states what it contains and that every passage was verified present. No other exporter can print that line, because none of them measures. You can run that same check on any other exporter's file. Export the same chats elsewhere, load the file into the Verify tab, and see what survived. The measurement is the same one this extension applies to itself — including when the answer is that the other tool is clean too. ▍A DOCUMENT, NOT A DUMP Turns are numbered and headed, so Word's navigation pane and any Markdown outline become a contents list. A question and an answer are told apart at a glance. Reasoning and tool output sit in their own quiet blocks, so the answer reads as the answer. If you use the Claude desktop app, open claude.ai in Chrome when you want to export. ▍PRIVACY This extension makes no network requests of its own. It reads your conversations from Claude in your own browser, with your own session, and writes the file locally. Nothing is uploaded, and there is no account, no sign-in and no usage tracking.
