Install the extension and create a free Classmax account. 2. Visit your university's LMS as you normally would. Classmax detects it automatically. 3. Click "Connect this LMS" once. Your courses sync in seconds. 4. Open the Classmax web app — your courses, assignments, and an AI assistant are ready. WHO IT'S FOR Classmax is built for students at universities using Blackboard. Canvas and Moodle support are on the way; you can join the waitlist at classmax.ai. If your school uses a custom institutional Blackboard domain, you can connect it manually from the extension popup. LEARNING FIRST, NOT CHEATING Classmax is built to help you understand your coursework — not bypass it. The AI explains concepts, breaks down readings, generates practice quizzes, and helps you build study plans. It's a tutor and study partner, not a homework-answer service. We don't write essays for you, and we won't pretend we can replace doing the work. PRIVACY We store what's needed to power your AI assistant: your course information (names, syllabi, assignments, announcements), any documents you bring into chat, and your conversation history with the AI. All of it is yours alone — strict per-user access controls (row-level security on every table) mean no other user can ever see your data. We never share with your school, never sell your data, never train AI models on it, and you can delete everything from your account settings at any time.
