Clasp — Save paper
Overview
Save paper metadata and PDFs to Clasp, including appendices.
Save scholarly papers from Chrome to your Clasp research workspace. Open a paper webpage or a public PDF, click Clasp, review the title, authors, publication and year, choose a workspace, and save. Clasp opens the selected workspace and reveals your imported paper. • Choose Personal or an editable shared workspace. • Review and edit bibliographic metadata before saving. • Save publicly accessible PDFs from scholarly websites, arXiv and OpenReview. • Prefer a matching complete version with an appendix when one can be found; otherwise combine the main PDF with discovered or supplied appendix PDFs. Appendix detection is a heuristic and does not guarantee completeness. • Close the popup while the import continues and reopen it to see the result. REQUIREMENTS Requires the Clasp macOS desktop app (1.1.0 or later), a Clasp account, and the Clasp Chrome connector installation. Windows and Linux are not supported by this connector. The extension cannot save papers on its own. Setup and downloads: https://github.com/kihyukh/clasp-downloads/releases/tag/chrome-connector-v1.1.0 The connector downloads public resources and does not use browser login cookies to access paywalled PDFs. The extension reads the active paper page only when you invoke it. It does not read passwords, form values, cookies or your browser history. No advertising, tracking or remotely hosted extension code is included.
