Overview

Make any webpage easier to read.

Clarity transforms hard-to-read webpages into calm, customizable reading experiences. Designed with dyslexic and neurodivergent readers in mind, Clarity gives you greater control over how text appears online. Adjust fonts, font size, line spacing, and letter spacing, or move an article into a focused reading environment when the original page feels distracting. Whether you want a completely distraction-free view or simply want to make the webpage you are already on easier to read, Clarity gives you both options. TWO WAYS TO READ 1. Reading Mode Turn articles and other text-heavy webpages into a clean, focused reading experience. Reading Mode places the page's readable content inside a dedicated reading view, helping reduce visual distractions while giving you complete control over the appearance of the text. Use Reading Mode when you want to focus almost entirely on the content itself. 2. Integrated Mode Improve readability without leaving the original webpage. Integrated Mode adjusts readable text directly on the page while keeping the website's original structure, colors, links, and surrounding content intact. A floating Clarity Controls panel lets you make changes in real time and immediately see the page respond. Turn Integrated Mode on or off instantly: no page refresh required. MAKE READING YOURS There is no single format that is comfortable for every reader. Clarity lets you personalize the reading experience to fit your preferences. Customize: • Font Family: Choose from multiple readable fonts, including OpenDyslexic • Font Size: Increase or decrease text size instantly • Line Spacing: Add more breathing room between lines • Letter Spacing: Adjust the space between individual characters • Saved Preferences: Clarity remembers your reading settings for future use Changes happen live, so you can experiment until the page feels right for you. DESIGNED WITH ACCESSIBILITY IN MIND Crowded layouts, small text, tight spacing, and distracting page elements can make online reading more difficult than it needs to be. Clarity was created to give readers more control. It is designed especially with dyslexic and neurodivergent readers in mind, while remaining useful for students, researchers, professionals, and anyone who simply prefers a more comfortable reading experience. Clarity does not try to decide what the "correct" reading format is. Instead, it gives you the tools to choose the format that works best for you. PRESERVES THE WEBPAGE YOU'RE READING Integrated Mode is built to improve readability without unnecessarily redesigning the website. Clarity preserves the webpage's original text colors so that light mode, dark mode, links, and other visual elements continue to maintain their intended contrast. When you turn Integrated Mode off, the page returns to its original appearance. AUTOMATIC READING WHEN YOU WANT IT Clarity also includes Auto Mode for readers who want Reading Mode to open automatically while browsing. Prefer to control everything manually? Leave Auto Mode off and activate Clarity only when you need it. You are always in control of how and when Clarity changes your reading experience. SIMPLE TO USE Getting started takes only a few seconds: Install Clarity. Open an article or text-heavy webpage. Open the Clarity extension. Choose Reading Mode or Integrated Mode. Adjust the font, size, line spacing, and letter spacing until the page feels comfortable. Your preferences are saved so you do not have to recreate your setup every time. BUILT FOR THE WAY YOU READ Use Clarity for: • Articles and news • Research and educational content • Blogs and long-form writing • Reference websites • Text-heavy webpages • Everyday online reading Because websites are built differently, Clarity may work better on some pages than others. It is designed primarily for pages containing substantial readable text. PRIVATE AND LIGHTWEIGHT Clarity's reading transformations run directly in your browser. Your reading preferences are stored using Chrome's built-in storage system so Clarity can remember the settings you choose. No account is required to use Clarity. WHY CLARITY? The web contains more information than ever, but the way that information is presented is not always comfortable for every reader. Clarity is built around a simple idea: You should be able to choose how the web looks when you read it. Instead of forcing every webpage into one universal format, Clarity gives you flexible tools to make online text more comfortable, focused, and personal. Read the web comfortably. Read it your way.
