Overview

BTOLIMS extension for Illumina Clarity LIMS. Offers a DAG view of the artifact geneology page.

A Chrome extension that adds a directed-acyclic-graph (DAG) view to the artifact genealogy page in Illumina Clarity LIMS (BTOLIMS deployments). The default Clarity tree view becomes hard to read for samples that branch into multiple pipelines — this extension renders the same data as a top-down DAG with branch-aware layout, drag/pan/zoom, and click-through navigation to the underlying steps and result files. Tree View / DAG View toggle — non-destructive; the original Clarity tree is hidden, not replaced. Click "Tree View" to go back any time. Branch-aware layout — each child of the root sample starts a new branch (e.g. ECS, Aneuploidy, FX) and descendants stay clustered with their pipeline. Layered Sugiyama-style top-down with barycenter ordering, plus per-branch gaps to keep things visually separated. Color-coded by artifact type — Sample (blue), Analyte (green), Process (orange), ResultFile (gray). Show Files — toggle ResultFile nodes on/off (default: off). Show Details — expand every card to show QC state, completion date, and all custom fields inline (Ctrl+F searchable). Each card also has its own + / − toggle if you only want to expand one. Click-through navigation — clicking a Process card opens the work-complete page; clicking a ResultFile downloads/views the file. Pan, zoom, drag — wheel to zoom, drag the background to pan, drag a node to reposition it (Cmd/Ctrl+drag moves the whole subtree). "Fit" re-frames the graph in the viewport. Tooltips — hover any compact card to see its full name, QC state, date, and custom fields without expanding.
