)Overview
A free & open source YouTube extension for transparent crowd-sourced content filtering.
AKA: Slop Busters Join us in our mission to rid YouTube of slop videos. This goal may never be fully achieved, but together, we can make the world (or at least, YouTube) a slightly better place. This project is completely non-profit, if you have any questions or suggestions, please don't hesitate to reach out on Github (link below). This extension lets you mark videos as “slop” to hide them from recommendations and listings. The extension also uses anonymized community votes to pre-label videos, so content that many users mark as slop can be hidden automatically (based on your tolerance setting). There's also a handy option that lets you optionally hide all shorts. If you change your mind or disagree with community consensus in relation to a particular video your channel, you can click “Undo” to mark a video as “clean.” Your personal choices always take priority for your account - videos you mark as slop or clean will continue to appear that way for you. To improve results for everyone, your slop/clean votes are shared with other users using an anonymized ID string or an optional public username of your choice. Extension is currently in BETA testing - please report bugs here: https://github.com/EvaLok/youtube-slop-block-chrome/issues
