I wanted a tool that wouldn't steal my time but would work effectively and quietly in the background. That’s how LUME was born — a completely free, non-commercial project created for those who want results, not just a pretty icon on their home screen. It’s a powerful alternative to Duolingo or Busuu, but without the ads, subscriptions, or unnecessary fluff. 🎯 How it works LUME integrates directly into your daily workflow. You don’t need to set aside special time for studying — the extension does the work for you. - Micro-learning every 15 minutes: The extension gently opens a card with a new word. You spend 10 seconds reviewing it and go right back to what you were doing. It’s learning that’s impossible to quit. - Smart Pause: We respect your time. If you step away from your computer or already have a training tab open, LUME won’t spam you with new windows. The timer simply pauses. - Spaced Repetition (SRS): The system automatically identifies which words you struggle with and shows them more often. Difficult words are mastered forever, while easy ones don't get in your way. 📊 Massive Knowledge Base: We’ve prepared structured dictionaries for you, divided by difficulty levels: A0 (Beginner), A1 (Elementary), and A2 (Pre-Intermediate).
