CISpir
Overview
Turn YouTube subtitles into language-learning cards with audio and translations, saved directly to your local Anki.
CISpir turns YouTube into your language classroom. Watch videos you love, click to save sentences, and review them as spaced-repetition cards in Anki — complete with audio clips and translations. How it works 1. Open any YouTube video and click the CISpir icon in your toolbar 2. Import captions in any language — automatic speech recognition (ASR) or manual 3. Click the ☆ button on any sentence to save it 4. CISpir captures the audio, the translation, and the video source, then sends everything to your local Anki via AnkiConnect Why CISpir? - Real content, real context. Learn from videos you actually want to watch, not pre-packaged textbook sentences - Audio that matches. Each card captures the exact audio clip from the video, anchored to the subtitle timing - Privacy-first. All data stays on your machine — CISpir talks directly to your local Anki, no cloud server - Language agnostic. Works with any language that has YouTube captions: Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and more Requirements - Anki installed on your computer - AnkiConnect add-on installed in Anki (code: 2055492159) Getting started & feedback - Full installation & usage guide: https://github.com/smith0814666/CISpir-anki-extenstion - Feedback & bug reports: https://github.com/smith0814666/CISpir-anki-extenstion/issues
