A cinematic movie poster from TMDB on every new tab — discover hidden gems alongside a clock, Google search, and bookmarks bar.
Cinema Paradiso transforms every New Tab into a cinematic moment — a beautiful movie poster from TMDB (The Movie Database) set against a blurred, cinematic backdrop with the title and year beside it. Three layouts — toggle between them in settings: 1. Off — a clean, empty New Tab showing only the bookmarks bar. No backdrop, no network — just your bookmarks. 2. Half-Page — a Google search box and a live clock on the left, the poster on the right. The best of both worlds: search and discover. 3. Full-Page (default) — the entire screen filled by the cinematic poster and backdrop. Hidden gems — by default, Cinema Paradiso surfaces obscure-but-well-rated films you won't have seen. Every new tab is a different random discovery. Prefer the classics? Switch to Top Rated, Popular, Now Playing, or Upcoming. ● A live, locale-aware clock — click it to toggle 12-hour and 24-hour ● Auto-refresh — advance to a new poster every N idle minutes ● Poster history — browse and re-display recently shown posters ● A custom bookmarks bar (Chrome shows no native bar on custom new-tab pages) ● Titles and the tab name follow your browser locale Privacy — No data collection, no analytics.
