Save images, videos and GIFs from supported pages. Choose folders and track each download.

MediaLatch saves the images, videos and GIFs you select on supported pages. Right-click media and choose “MediaLatch: Save media”, or use the save buttons available on supported sites. Track each file • Follow downloads in the toolbar popup or open the full manager. • See progress, speed and estimated time when they can be measured. • Pause the queue, cancel a download or retry a failed save when retry is available. • View results on the source page without leaving it. Preview saved media • Open images, animated GIFs and MP4 inside MediaLatch. • Zoom, pan and move between files with buttons, the keyboard or a swipe. • If an original is no longer in the local preview cache, choose the saved file from disk. Choose folders and filenames • Save to browser Downloads or a folder you explicitly select. • Organize new saves by site, media type or a confirmed posting account. • Keep the original filename and optionally add the site, account or publication date and time in UTC. Publication dates currently come from confirmed X posts; unknown dates are omitted. • When a new filename matches an existing file, the new save receives a suffix. Existing files are not overwritten. Filename settings apply to new saves. Make it yours Choose Violet, Blue, Dark or Light, and switch between English and Russian. Optional local statistics show saved file counts and sizes. Link-preview settings let you choose how supported post links are copied. Coverage and limits Supported paths include selected media on X, Reddit and Pixiv. See the project website for the full coverage list. Saving depends on page layout, your access to the source and the media format. YouTube downloads, DRM, live streams and universal HLS/DASH downloading are not supported. Available originals are used when the extension can identify and validate them. Privacy MediaLatch has no backend or telemetry. Settings, the queue, preview caches and optional statistics and diagnostics stay in extension storage. Downloads contact the selected site or CDN; update checks contact GitHub. See the privacy policy for the data and permissions used.
