Hides the YouTube homepage feed and (optionally) the suggested videos in the sidebar for a distraction-free YouTube.

HushTube hides the YouTube homepage feed, so you go to YouTube to watch a specific thing rather than to get pulled into an endless feed. WHAT IT DOES • The homepage feed is always hidden and replaced with a quiet placeholder. • An optional toggle hides the suggested-videos sidebar on watch pages, and the player reclaims the freed space. • Search, watch, channel, and subscription pages are untouched and work normally. • Your preference syncs across your signed-in Chrome. • Changes apply instantly to open YouTube tabs, including in-app navigation. PRIVACY HushTube collects no data. No analytics, no tracking, no network requests, no ads. The only thing it stores is a single on/off preference for the sidebar toggle, saved with Chrome's storage.sync API. PERMISSIONS • storage: saves your one toggle preference. • Access to youtube.com: required to apply the styles that hide the feed and the sidebar suggestions. HushTube is an independent project.
