Overview

Overlay your own SRT/VTT subtitles on Netflix, synced to playback time and speed. Unofficial, not affiliated with Netflix.

Load your own subtitle file (.srt or .vtt) and watch it appear over Netflix, perfectly timed to the video — for whenever Netflix doesn't have subtitles for what you're watching, or doesn't have them in the language you need. WHY THIS ONE Most simple subtitle overlays drive their timing off a fixed timer, so they drift out of sync the moment you change playback speed. This extension reads the video's actual playback clock directly, so subtitles stay accurate whether you're watching at 1x, 1.5x, or 2x. And if you're working through a whole series, you don't have to reload a file for every episode: point it at a folder of subtitle files once, and it automatically finds and loads the right one for whatever episode you're on. FEATURES - Load any .srt or .vtt file through the popup - Subtitles automatically match your current playback speed — 1x, 1.5x, 2x, or anything in between - Subtitles track the video as you play, pause, or seek - Point the extension at a folder of subtitle files once, and matching episodes load automatically from then on — no re-uploading a file every episode - Switching episodes clears out the previous episode's subtitles automatically, and restores the right file if you've already loaded one for this exact episode before - Detects the title/episode you're watching and gives you a one-click search to help you find a matching subtitle file - Manual sync offset (±0.5s steps) if a file is slightly out of alignment - Adjustable subtitle font size - Works in both windowed and fullscreen playback - Subtitle position automatically adjusts to stay clear of Netflix's own player controls This extension does not fetch, scrape, or host subtitle files — you provide your own, and the built-in search just opens a normal web search in a new tab so you can find and download one yourself from wherever you'd normally get it. The folder-matching feature only ever reads files already on your computer; nothing is downloaded automatically. Unofficial and not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Netflix.
