Overview

Save and organize timestamp bookmarks while watching YouTube videos.

YouTube Timestamp Bookmarker lets you save specific moments in videos, add short notes, and return to them instantly. It works directly inside YouTube so you can bookmark parts of a video while watching and come back to them later without searching again. It is completely Ad-free, Login free and any kind of royality isnt taken from user to access the software. The extension adds a bookmark system to YouTube watch pages. A Bookmark button appears near the like/dislike area and a floating button on the right side opens your saved list. Each bookmark captures the exact timestamp and can include a note. Bookmarks are stored locally and are tied to the specific video where they were created, so when you return to that video your saved moments are already there. Click the Bookmark button while a video is playing to capture the current time. A small window opens showing the timestamp and an optional note field. You can save immediately or press Enter. You can cancel using the Cancel button or the Escape key. The sidebar shows all saved timestamps for the current video in order. Each item displays the timestamp, any note you added, and an option to delete it. Clicking a timestamp jumps the video directly to that moment. If no bookmarks exist yet, the sidebar simply shows an empty state message. There is also a Clear all option in the sidebar that removes every bookmark for the current video in one action. This does not affect bookmarks saved on other videos. Keyboard shortcuts are included for faster use: F7 toggles the sidebar F8 hides or shows the bookmark controls F9 opens the bookmark window Numpad 0 opens the bookmark window Shortcuts are ignored when typing in YouTube fields like search, comments, or inputs, so normal browsing is not interrupted. The floating bookmark button can be dragged and placed anywhere on the screen. Its position is remembered. The interface is designed to stay simple and responsive. It runs smoothly, adapts to different screen sizes, and fits into YouTube’s layout without getting in the way. Basic usage flow: Open any YouTube watch page Click Bookmark to save the current moment Add a note if needed Open the sidebar to view saved timestamps Click any timestamp to jump back Delete individual bookmarks or clear all anytime Bookmarks are stored locally using Chrome storage. Nothing is sent to external servers. No accounts, tracking, or data collection are involved. Each video keeps its own separate list of saved timestamps. Keyboard accessibility is supported. Enter saves a bookmark, Escape closes the bookmark window, and the sidebar and bookmark actions can be controlled using shortcuts. Useful for: Students saving important lecture moments People following tutorials Creators marking sections to revisit Anyone who wants quick timestamp notes while watching videos Permissions used: Storage — to save bookmarks locally in your browser YouTube access — to enable the extension on YouTube watch pages only Common questions Are bookmarks saved after closing the browser? Yes, they remain stored locally. Do bookmarks sync across devices? No, they stay on the device where they were created. Are bookmarks shared between videos? No, each video has its own saved list. Can the extension be turned off? Yes, it can be disabled from Chrome’s extensions page or from its popup. Does it work on YouTube Shorts or other pages? It is designed for standard YouTube watch pages (youtube.com/watch). YouTube Timestamp Bookmarker provides a simple way to save, organize, and revisit important parts of videos without extra setup.
