Continuum: AI Coding lets a Continuum Code session work in your real, logged-in browser instead of a throwaway automated one. That distinction is the entire point. The pages a coding agent actually needs during development — a staging app behind SSO, an internal admin panel, a billing dashboard, a CI run — are exactly the pages a fresh automation profile can never sign in to. This extension gives your session the tabs you already have. WHAT IT DOES • Navigate to a URL, go back and forward • Read the page as an accessibility tree, or as plain text • Take screenshots, and stream a live view of a tab • Click, type, drag, press keys and fill form fields • Read the console log and the network request log • Evaluate JavaScript in the page's own context • Open, select and close tabs, and resize the window HOW IT CONNECTS The extension does not talk to the internet. It talks over Chrome native messaging to a Continuum Code host process on your own machine, which talks to the Continuum Code daemon on 127.0.0.1. Page content goes to whichever AI provider you have configured in Continuum Code, and to nothing else. There is no Continuum Code server in this path. YOU CAN ALWAYS SEE IT, AND ALWAYS STOP IT • Chrome's own "being debugged" banner stays visible for as long as a tab is held, so an agent can never quietly hold your browser. • The toolbar popup shows the connection state and releases every tab in one click. • The extension attaches only to tabs a session was explicitly told to work in, and detaches on tab close, on disconnect and on suspend. • Continuum Code has an editable never-automate list. Origins on it are refused at the host, overriding every permission any session has been granted. • Uploading a file is separately permission-gated and restricted to the calling session's own workspace. REQUIREMENTS Continuum Code must be installed and running on the same machine.
