Google Account PopUp Disabler

Automatically dismisses the 'You are currently signed in as…' banner across Google Apps. Zero network requests. Fully local.

Tired of the "You're currently signed in as…" popup appearing every time you open a Google Doc, Sheet, Drive folder, or Gmail? This extension silently detects and removes that banner — automatically, on every Google page — so it never interrupts your workflow again (unless you just deactivate the extension, of course). ───────────────────────────── HOW IT WORKS ───────────────────────────── A lightweight content script runs on *.google.com pages and watches for the account notification banner using a MutationObserver. When the banner appears, it is immediately hidden and gracefully dismissed in the background. No delay. No clutter. ───────────────────────────── PRIVACY & SECURITY ───────────────────────────── - Zero network requests — the extension never contacts any external server - No data collected — not your email, not your browsing, nothing - No analytics, no telemetry, no third-party scripts - Operates entirely on your device ───────────────────────────── PERMISSIONS EXPLAINED ───────────────────────────── This extension requests no special permissions. It only runs on google.com domains — the absolute minimum required to do its job. ───────────────────────────── COMPATIBILITY ───────────────────────────── Works across all Google services including: Docs, Sheets, Mail and more apps. ───────────────────────────── TECHNICAL DETAILS ───────────────────────────── - Manifest V3 compliant - Uses MutationObserver (not polling) — negligible CPU and memory impact - No background service worker - No persistent storage used ───────────────────────────── CHANGELOG ───────────────────────────── 2026-05-26: v2.1.0 - Updated to ensure the extension still works with the new ActiveAccountSurfaceCard identifiers. 2026-03-09: v2.0.1 - Refined conditions to ensure only the target popup is hidden but nothing else.
