Sync your Monarch Money balances to ProjectionLab with one click. ProjectionLab is a powerful financial planning tool — but it only knows what you tell it. Monarch Money knows exactly what your accounts are worth right now. Chrysalis connects the two, so your financial plan stays grounded in your actual balances without any manual data entry. Why Chrysalis exists ProjectionLab doesn't have a native Monarch Money integration. There are a couple workarounds floating around the internet, but none of them are very good. Chrysalis is the only full-service product experience to sync Monarch balances to ProjectionLab, and it is (and will always be) free. How it works Chrysalis reads your live account balances directly from Monarch Money (using the session your browser already has — no username or password stored) and pushes them to ProjectionLab via the official Plugin API. Everything happens locally in your browser. No external servers, no accounts to create, no data leaving your machine except to Monarch and ProjectionLab's own APIs. Setup takes about two minutes: 1. Add your ProjectionLab Plugin API key 2. Load your accounts from both services 3. Map which Monarch accounts correspond to which ProjectionLab accounts After that, syncing is one click from the extension popup while you're on the Monarch tab. Key features - One-click sync — Click the Chrysalis icon, click Sync. Done. The popup shows a per-account breakdown of what was written, what failed, and why. - Many-to-one account mapping — Have multiple Monarch accounts (e.g. two checking accounts) that roll up into a single ProjectionLab entry? Select all of them on the left. Chrysalis sums the balances before syncing. - Asset + loan mapping — Monarch stores an asset's value and its loan as two separate accounts. ProjectionLab stores them together. Chrysalis handles this automatically with a two-lane mapping layout for asset-type accounts. - Sync history — Every sync is logged with timestamps, account names, amounts written, and status. Useful for confirming a run completed or diagnosing a pattern of failures. - Scheduled sync — Optionally configure a daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly automatic sync job. Runs when Chrome is open and a Monarch tab is active. - Partial sync handling — If one mapped account can't be found, Chrysalis skips it with an error and syncs everything else. No silent failures. - Backup and restore — Export your account mappings as JSON and re-import them. Useful when moving to a new machine or doing development resets. - Debug mode — Toggle detailed technical output in the popup and sync history records when something isn't working right.
