Overview
Sticky notes in your browser toolbar.
Chrosticky brings flexible sticky notes directly into your Chrome toolbar so you can capture ideas, to-dos, links, and quick reference notes without leaving the page you are on. Features: Multiple notes with a tabbed interface Rich text formatting including bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, alignment, text color, and highlight Interactive checklists, bullet lists, numbered lists, and quote callouts Inline image support inside notes Clickable links with auto-linking for pasted or typed URLs Lock and reorder note tabs Automatic local saving in the browser Print the active note through Chrome's print dialog Export the current note as a .chst shared-note bundle Export all notes as a .zip workspace bundle Import .chst shared notes with a read-only preview before import Import .zip workspace bundles with embedded images Drag and drop .chst or .zip files onto the extension to import them Detached pop-out window for a larger editing view Previously shipped highlights (through 1.6.3): v1.6.1: Added a header website button that opens the official Chrosticky site in a new tab. Added a public Chrosticky website with screenshots, feature summaries, and contact details. v1.6.2: Fixed upgrade startup so version updates open only the Update note instead of reopening both About and Update. Hardened workspace migration so user notes are no longer reclassified as built-in tabs by title-only heuristics. Added a close confirmation for real notes that have content or a custom title to prevent accidental note loss. v1.6.3: Added A- and A+ toolbar controls to decrease or increase selected text size. Added a clear-highlight swatch to remove selected highlight formatting. Merged import and export into one Import / Export menu with Import, Export Current, and Export All. Refreshed read-only note visuals and About note header presentation. Improved detached-window popup state recovery so extension reload/startup re-syncs the toolbar popup state when a pop-out window is already open. Updated popup and website visuals with a wider popup baseline and refreshed tab/section styling. v1.6.0: Added support for pasting images directly from the clipboard (Ctrl+V). Added a full-sized image viewer that opens in a new tab when you double-click an image in a note. Improved image asset persistence for clipboard-pasted content. Renamed the toolbar portability actions to Print, Export, and Import. Added .chst shared-note export for the current note and kept .zip for full workspace export. Added read-only preview before importing a .chst shared note and removed legacy .json import support. Added drag-and-drop import support for .chst and .zip files on the extension surface. v1.5.7: Fixed fresh-install startup so About no longer appears as Note ? before being renumbered. Fixed fresh installs so the Update note does not appear before a previous version exists. Fixed background startup so normal service-worker restarts do not reopen built-in tabs. v1.5.6: Removed the downloads permission after confirming backup export works without it. Excluded built-in About and Update tabs from backup bundles and restore output. Fixed normal startup so About stays closed after the user closes it. New in 1.6.4: Fixed tab close-button rendering corruption in packaged builds by making the close symbol encoding-safe. Privacy: Chrosticky stores notes locally in your browser using Chrome extension storage. It does not require an account and does not send your note content to an external server.
