)Overview
Chromerly is a simple yet featureful URL-shortener extension.
We all hate those long auto-generated links that we see every day. So I made this simple extension to easily shorten those links and making sharing things a breeze. Features: * Simple icon to click to shorten tab's url * Context menu to shorten page, image, link, selection, video or even audio urls * Urly keyword in the omnibox to shorten any url you want * NEW: You can now block shortened links and redirect to info page instead! * NEW: Chromerly now supports Web Intents! If you want to know exactly how this extension works, take a look at the source code! This is an open source project.

It does what it says but isn't necessary (No offense to dev). You can do the simple shortening with a bookmarklet. Add the following link (below === ) to your bookmarks bar, & click it to shorten the link as you would with the extension icon. You WON"T be able to shorten something from the context menu using the bookmarklet. you can also type tny.im/ before http part in address bar & hit enter OR go to tny.im to shorten a url manually. tny.im also supports custom short urls. === javascript:v... Shortens URLs, open source code on github - works well but Twitter blocks tweets when using this for short codes.

Doesnt work at all. For example, I made google.de to http://urly.fi/8Tz and when I open the link some finnish stuff appears and nothing happens then.
