Overview
Draw movable measurement boxes directly on any page to inspect spacing and dimensions.
Chrome Ruler adds a lightweight measurement overlay to standard web pages so you can quickly inspect spacing, alignment, and dimensions without opening a separate design tool. Use it to draw measurement boxes, place temporary horizontal or vertical guides, and read pixel offsets directly on the page. It is useful for web developers, designers, QA testers, and anyone checking layout precision in Chrome. Features: - Draw measurement boxes by clicking and dragging on the page - View width and height labels in pixels while measuring - Hold Ctrl to move existing measurement boxes - Drag from the top or left ruler to create horizontal and vertical guides - Reposition or remove guides individually - Pause drawing, clear all measurements, or close the overlay from the in-page toolbar - Runs locally in the browser with no account, backend service, analytics, or tracking Chrome Ruler is designed for quick visual inspection. Measurements and guides are temporary and disappear when you clear them, close the overlay, or reload the page. Note: Chrome Ruler works on standard web pages. Chrome internal pages and other restricted browser pages are not supported.
