Chrome Profile Locker helps you lock your browser profile behind a PIN or password so casual access to your open tabs and session is harder. Everything runs on your device. There are no accounts, no cloud sync, and no telemetry. The project is open source under the MIT license. What you get: • PIN or password unlock (minimum 4 characters) • One-time recovery code at setup • Optional TOTP two-factor authentication (local QR code) • Re-lock on browser start, idle timeout, or new windows • Quick-lock keyboard shortcut (Alt+Shift+L, remappable) • Cover tab while locked; your other tabs are not reloaded • Local audit log and rate limiting on failed unlock attempts Honest limits: A browser extension cannot stop someone with full device access from disabling the extension or using another profile. This is a deterrent for shared or unattended browsers, not full device security.
