Seamlessly Migrate Your Entire Chrome Profile Setting up a new computer or managing multiple Chrome profiles for work and personal life can be a challenge. Chrome Profile Data Transfer is a powerful tool designed to make this process simple and secure. With just a few clicks, you can bundle your essential Browse data—cookies, history, bookmarks, and even all your open tabs—into a single file. Then, just as easily, import it into another Chrome profile on any computer. Keep your sessions, your research, and your familiar setup without the manual hassle. Key Features: Comprehensive Data Transfer: Migrate everything that matters: Cookies: Keep all your logged-in sessions active. Browse History: Transfer your complete history. Bookmarks: Preserve your entire bookmark structure, including folders. Open Tabs & Session: Restore all your open windows and tabs, including pinned tabs. Secure Encryption: For maximum privacy, you can choose to encrypt your backup file with a password. Your data is protected with strong AES-256 GCM encryption, ensuring only you can access it. Automatic Daily Backups: Never worry about losing your data. Use the built-in scheduler to create automatic, encrypted backups every day at a time that works for you. You can even have them save to a specific subfolder in your Downloads. Simple & Intuitive Interface: A clean, straightforward popup UI makes exporting and importing your data a breeze. No complicated settings to configure. How to Use: To Export: Open the extension, set an optional encryption password, and click "Export Data". A .json backup file will be saved to your computer. To Import: On the target profile, open the extension, select the .json file you saved, enter the password if prompted, and click "Import Data". Your data will be restored in seconds. ⚠️ Important Notice: Passwords Are Not Included For your security, Google Chrome does not allow extensions to access, export, or import your saved passwords. You must transfer your passwords manually using Chrome's built-in Password Manager. Go to chrome://settings/passwords in your old profile. Click the three-dots menu above your password list and select "Export passwords". In your new profile, go to the same page and use the "Import" option. Permissions Explained: This extension requires certain permissions to function, and we believe in being transparent about why: cookies & <all_urls>: Needed to read your cookies from all websites and write them to your new profile. history: Needed to read your Browse history and add the entries to your new profile. bookmarks: Needed to read your bookmark tree and create it in your new profile. tabs: Needed to access your currently open tabs and windows for backup. downloads: Required to save the backup file to your computer. storage & alarms: Used to save your settings and run the scheduled daily backups.
