Chrome LLM Translator is a privacy‑first helper for translating, summarizing, and explaining any web content using your own OpenAI‑compatible Chat Completions API. Point it to your local or self‑hosted endpoint (configure base_url, model, temperature, timeout, etc.) and get streaming responses so long texts appear in real time. The extension adds a floating button, context‑menu actions, and hotkeys; results show in a right‑hand drawer with copy, original text view, and a recent history list (stored locally and clearable anytime). No default server URL or API key is bundled—everything stays in your local browser storage; we do not collect or transmit user data. Ideal for secure networks, on‑prem deployments, or privacy‑sensitive workflows where you control the LLM backend.
