Lists installed extensions and alerts when new ones are added.
Chrome Extension Watchdog helps you understand what your installed extensions can do, and how they may be changing pages. Extension inventory: • Lists all installed extensions with version, status, and permissions • Each permission shows a plain‑language explanation on hover • Permissions are color‑coded (low / medium / high risk) Page change detection: • Watches for risky changes like new scripts, iframes, form actions, URL/source changes, inline handlers, and sensitive inputs • Shows “high‑signal” changes that matter for security • Tries to attribute changes to the extension that likely caused them Alerts and storage: • Alerts are saved in local browser storage (browser.storage.local) • No data is sent to any server • You can filter by site/date and export alerts as JSON How to use: • Browse normally, then open the popup for a summary • Click “Open details” to review full evidence and attribution in the dashboard
