Overview
Analyze bookmark age, duplicates, browsing activity, and broken links, then organize them in Chrome.
Chromate helps you understand and organize the bookmarks in your current Chrome profile. Start an analysis to build a visual report, review the results by category, and choose exactly which bookmarks to sort, move, edit, or delete. Main features: • Find exact duplicate bookmarks, including duplicates across folders. • Review bookmarks created more than 3 or 5 years ago. • Optionally use your visible Chrome history to identify bookmarks with no recent matched visit. • Sort details by name, creation time, recent visible visit, or review priority. • Check selected links for redirects and confirmed 404 or 410 responses. • Remove common tracking parameters while preserving functional URL parameters. • Move uncertain items to a visible Chromate Trash folder before permanent deletion. • Distinguish Google Account bookmarks from local-only bookmarks and explain Chrome Sync impact. • Use the interface in English or Simplified Chinese. Chromate does not automatically delete bookmarks. Sorting, moving, editing, and deletion happen only after an explicit user action. Permanent deletion requires additional confirmation. Bookmark and optional history analysis runs locally in the extension. Bookmark titles, URLs, history matches, and analysis results are not uploaded to a developer-operated server. Link checking starts only when requested and asks for optional website access. The extension works independently. The Chromate Mac App is optional.
