Choro — Browser control for coding agents

Lets coding agents (Claude Code and other MCP clients) use your real browser: read pages, click, type, take screenshots.

Choro lets AI coding agents (Claude Code, or any other client of the Model Context Protocol, MCP) use the browser you already have open, with your logins, cookies and extensions, instead of a separate headless browser. It works together with a small local server, choro-mcp, which the agent starts on your computer (npx -y choro-mcp@latest). The two pair once with a secret key and talk only over 127.0.0.1. WHAT AN AGENT CAN DO • Read pages as a structured outline with references to every link, button and field, including shadow DOM and cross-origin frames • Click, type, press keys, hover, drag, fill forms, choose options and upload files • Take screenshots of the visible area, the whole page or one element • Open, switch and close tabs; navigate, go back and reload • See dialogs, popups, downloads and the network requests its actions cause • Several agent sessions can share the browser, each in its own tabs, and several browsers (e.g. Chrome and Firefox) can be connected at once YOUR CONTROL • Nothing happens until you paste the pairing key from "choro-mcp pair" into the toolbar popup • The icon shows ON while an agent is connected; the popup pauses agent control at any time • Page hooks and network recording are active only in tabs an agent works in; passwords, tokens and cookies are hidden from agents unless they ask • No data is collected, and nothing is sent anywhere except the local server SETUP 1. Install this extension. 2. In a terminal: npx -y choro-mcp@latest pair, then paste the key it prints into the Choro popup. 3.
