Update your preferences whenever you want. • Browse normally. After you allow site checks, Choice checks whether it has information about the company behind the website you’re visiting. It compares that information with your preferences on your device. • Understand the conflict. Open a warning to see the company action, relevant dates, and supporting sources. • Explore alternatives. Find other companies that better match your preferences and offer relevant products or services. YOUR VALUES. YOUR DECISION. Choice shows you company actions and the evidence behind them so you can decide for yourself. Matches and conflicts depend on your selections. Findings include sources you can open and check. Alternatives are assessed for product fit, ownership, available evidence, and improvement against your preferences. COVERAGE HAS LIMITS Choice does not have information about every company or every action. Coverage varies, and missing information is marked as unknown. No warning does not mean a company has a clean record. PRIVACY AND CONTROL Your preferences stay in your browser. Choice does not receive your answers, and comparisons happen on your device. Site checks start only after you agree. Before then, Choice does not read the site’s domain or make operational network requests. Choosing “Not now” keeps checks off. When enabled, automatic site checks send the website’s basic domain, such as “amazon.com,” to youneedchoice.com over an encrypted connection to request an existing company record. This is browsing activity. These requests do not include the full URL, page content, searches, form data, or your preferences. Cloudflare processes domain requests and network metadata to deliver and protect the service. Choice’s server access logs omit request bodies and client identity. Unknown domains are not saved or automatically researched. If you use company search, your search text is sent to retrieve results. If you submit feedback, Choice sends the relevant company and finding identifiers, your selected reason, and any optional note you provide. The extension sends no analytics, usage events, or automatic error reports. It attaches no account, login, device ID, analytics cookie, or advertising identifier to its requests. General coverage information is requested only after you allow site checks. Disabling Choice stops its requests. Uninstalling removes the extension’s locally stored data.
