ChineseRuby prints a small Pinyin or Bopomofo (Zhuyin) reading above each Chinese character in the body text of a web page, and shows a translation under every paragraph. It turns Chinese news, blogs, and articles into pages you can actually read. ■ One click Open a Chinese page and click the ChineseRuby toolbar icon. The readings and the translation appear. Click again to turn them off. A site you turn on is remembered and enabled automatically next time — you can remove it anytime in Settings. ■ Easy-to-read layout - The original text, with a reading above each character - A translation below each paragraph See the pronunciation and follow the meaning at the same time. ■ Correct readings from context The reading of each character is decided after the whole sentence is read, so a character with several possible readings is voiced correctly according to the sentence (银行 → yín háng, 行走 → xíng zǒu). Traditional-character pages are supported as well. ■ Pinyin and Bopomofo Choose the notation you prefer on the first run, and change it anytime in Settings. ■ Translation into 10 languages Japanese, English, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Spanish, French, German, Indonesian, and Russian. Paragraphs are translated in the order they appear on the screen. ■ Privacy No account and no personal information are required. Paragraph text is sent to Google Translate only to obtain the translation; nothing else is sent anywhere.
