Connects the Chetto desktop app to WhatsApp Web so you can send replies you have reviewed in Chetto.

Chetto Desktop Connector is the browser half of Chetto, a desktop assistant that helps you keep up with customer conversations. REQUIRES THE CHETTO DESKTOP APPLICATION This extension does nothing on its own. It is a connector, not a standalone tool. Install Chetto for your computer from https://chetto.ai first. Without it, the extension will simply report that the desktop app is not connected. HOW IT WORKS 1. You open a conversation application on Web as you normally would. 2. Chetto, running on your computer, sees which conversation is open. 3. Chetto suggests a reply and shows it to you. 4. You read it, edit it if you want, and decide whether to use it. You stay in control of every message. A reply is only ever placed into WhatsApp Web after you have read it and chosen to use it. WHAT THIS EXTENSION DOES NOT DO - It does not send bulk, mass, or automated outbound messages. - It does not read your contact list. - It does not read or index your chat history. It only looks at the conversation you currently have open. - It does not make any network requests. The extension talks to exactly one thing: the Chetto application running on your own computer. - It does not run on any website other than web.whatsapp.com. - It does not load any code from the internet. Everything it runs ships inside the package. PERMISSIONS, AND WHY EACH ONE IS NEEDED - Native messaging: to talk to the Chetto desktop app on your computer. This is the only way a Chrome extension can communicate with a local application. - Access to webpages to see which conversation is open and to place an approved reply into the message box. This is the only site it can access. - Scripting: to read the message box, which WhatsApp builds in a way that a regular extension script cannot reach.
