Overview
Clear chess hints and game review right next to the board.
ChessNavio helps people who play chess in the browser. It suggests a move next to the board, reviews your finished games and turns your mistakes into puzzles. The computer analyzes positions right in your browser. Your game in progress is not sent to our server. During a game On a connected site, a panel appears next to the board. On your move, it shows a move, an arrow on the board and a short explanation. You can get the hint right away or after trying yourself ("Let me try first"). The hint level can be automatic, one you set, or the strongest move. If you don't want hints, choose "Review only" and the game is simply saved. After the game The review marks inaccuracies, mistakes, blunders and missed opportunities, shows the stronger move and lets you try to find it yourself. A chart shows how the position changed. Trainer and stats The trainer gives you positions from your own games where you went wrong, plus puzzles from the open Lichess database. In a puzzle, you can ask for a hint: the idea, the piece or the move. Stats show your results for the week, the month and all time. Import games Enter your Chess.com or Lichess username and ChessNavio loads your finished games from the site's public archive. The request goes straight to that site, not through our server, and no password is needed. Where it works Lichess, Chess.com, World Chess and Chess King. You can also connect another site with a chessboard yourself; Chrome asks for access to that site only. Site rules Lichess and Chess.com prohibit outside assistance in games against people. World Chess prohibits engines, plugins, browser extensions and other analysis tools during play. Chess King prohibits outside and computer assistance during play except where computer help is declared in the profile. When ChessNavio detects a game against a person, the panel shows that site's rules first, and hints start only after you press "I understand". You are responsible for following each site's rules. Hints are meant for games against the computer, training and game review. Account and the Free plan Hints during a game require a ChessNavio account. Free includes three games or training sessions with hints every 30 days, up to 200 imported games every 30 days, the first 30 trainer puzzles and then up to 15 new puzzles a day, and full stats. Pro has no plan limit on hints, imports or new puzzles. Prices are on chessnavio.com. Your game history is stored in your browser. Saving games to your account stays off until you turn it on.
