Overview

Strips away everything on Chess.com except the board, clocks, and controls. Press N for a distraction-free, fullscreen game.

Chess.com Focus Mode strips away everything except the game — the board (big, centered) and a clean sidebar with both players' clocks, names, and controls. Press N (or click the toolbar icon) on any Chess.com game to instantly go fullscreen: • The board is enlarged to fill the screen • A sidebar shows both clocks, player names, and resign/draw/takeback controls • Header, move list, chat, sidebar clutter, and ads are all hidden • Coordinate labels (a-h, 1-8) are always shown on the board • Works on live games, bot games, and puzzles Press Esc, click "Exit Focus Mode," or press N again to return to normal. No account access, no data collection, no permissions beyond reading the Chess.com page you're already on. Everything runs locally in your browser. Shortcuts: - N — toggle focus mode (ignored while typing in chat/search) - Alt+F — toggle focus mode (works even while typing) - Esc — exit focus mode
