Chess Helper

Detects a chess board on the page (Lichess, Chess.com) and suggests the best moves using a locally running Stockfish engine.

Chess Helper is a learning and analysis tool for Lichess and Chess.com. It reads the board on the page and shows the best moves from Stockfish 19, which runs entirely inside your browser. Nothing is sent to any server. ▎ ▎ Use it to review your own games, solve puzzles, play against bots and study positions. ▎ ▎ WHAT YOU GET ▎ • Best moves drawn as arrows on the board, with evaluation and a win-chance bar ▎ • 1–5 candidate lines with the continuation shown in standard notation and piece icons ▎ • Optional thin arrows for the next moves of both sides, numbered in order (1, 2, 3…) ▎ • Move accuracy: accuracy of the last move and the average for White and Black, plus the win chance in the current position ▎ • Choose analysis depth, side to move and whether hints show only for the side at the bottom ▎ • Fully customizable colors for each line, window opacity, collapsible settings, draggable panel ▎ • A built-in cheat sheet of how each piece moves ▎ • Interface in English, Polski, Español and Deutsch ▎ • Works on lichess.org and chess.com (including analysis boards, puzzles and games against the computer) ▎ ▎ PRIVACY ▎ • The engine runs locally (WebAssembly). No analytics, no tracking, no accounts, no data leaves your browser. ▎ • Settings are stored only in your browser. ▎ ▎ FAIR PLAY ▎ Chess Helper is meant for learning and analysis. Using engine assistance in games against other people is cheating and violates the rules of Lichess and Chess.com – it can get your account banned. The extension tries to detect live games against other players, shows a warning and turns the analysis off. The detection is a heuristic, not a guarantee, and it is not an anti-cheating tool.
