extension doesnt work

All i see is at the bottom of the screen (10 minutes rapid chess) is the name chess assistant.
If i click on it i get a new page about the extension...
How do i get it to work when playing (google chrome)?

option to remove chars in squares

chars in every square is not helpful for me, and distracting, I would love to have an option to remove them
