All achievement logic happens locally in your browser. We never track your raw URLs or history; we only sync your XP and badges. Unlike extensions that track you for advertising, all of our achievement logic happens entirely inside your browser. Here is a transparent breakdown of why specific permissions are required and how your data stays local: Browsing History & Website Activity: Required to detect when you reach achievement-triggering destinations (like the Firefox about:config page or Wikipedia). We never store or sync your raw URLs. Instead, the extension uses one-way anonymized hashes (SHA-256) to track your counts locally on your own machine. Bookmarks: Necessary for achievements like "Bookworm" and "Time Traveler." This allows the engine to recognize your curation habits (like how long you've kept a specific bookmark) without ever sending your folders to the cloud. Downloads: Required for achievements like "Data Hoarder" and "Big Catch". This allows the local engine to calculate your total downloaded data and file sizes to award specific badges. Notifications: Used to celebrate your victories! You will receive a notification the moment you unlock a new achievement or hit a major XP milestone. Where does your data go? On Your Device: Your raw history, bookmarks, and download filenames never leave your computer. In the Cloud: Only your XP, Level, and Unlocked Badge IDs are synced to our secure servers when you sign in. This is used solely for the global leaderboard and to ensure you don't lose your progress if you switch devices. Your Account: We collect your email address only for authentication and to manage your leaderboard profile. Your cloud data is yours: you can delete your entire profile and all synced history at any time via your dashboard on our website. Gaming should be fun, not invasive.
