Online Checkers with Friends by SkillGamesBoard is played on an 8x8 virtual chess board. Each player starts with twelve pieces. At the beginning of the game one player has 12 white pieces, or checkers; the other has 12 black pieces. Players take turns to move a piece of their own color. White moves first. The goal of the checkers game is to capture all of your opponent’s pieces or position your checkers so that your opponent has no available moves. You can move your piece one square diagonally forward. When one of your checkers reaches the opposite side of the board, it is crowned and becomes a King. A King can move either forward or backward along the diagonals. It can only move one square.
