Check a vacancy without retyping its basic facts. Open an individual job advert and choose Check with KnowYourSponsor. The popup reads the employer, title, location and advertised salary for your review, then checks a public KnowYourSponsor data shard for current sponsor evidence. Exact current records show their official name, town, visa routes, rating, company-identity coverage and whether historical CoS disclosure is available. Same-name records remain a choice, and no exact match is labelled unknown rather than treated as proof that the employer lacks a licence. Nothing from the vacancy is sent during that preview. The extension requests only a public first-letter data shard; its URL contains no employer name, vacancy detail or page URL. Extraction depends on the vacancy page exposing usable structured data or visible headings. Missing or incomplete fields remain for the user to enter. Salary ranges use the advertised minimum so the later comparison is conservative. A closure warning is a prompt to re-check the employer site, not a claim about the role. The extension is an evidence-checking shortcut, not a job board, immigration adviser or sponsorship guarantee.
