Cheap AI Visual Detector
Overview
Local HUD for estimating whether images and videos may be AI-generated using on-device visual signals.
Cheap AI Visual Detector adds a small heads-up display to visible images and videos on web pages. It estimates whether media may be AI-generated using local visual signals such as edge patterns, color clusters, composition, thumbnail structure, and video frame motion. The detector runs in your browser. It does not upload images or videos to a remote AI API for analysis. Scores are shown as quick triage labels, such as "AI likely" or "Human likely", directly on the media item. Features: - Per-image and per-video labels on normal web pages - Local visual analysis for images and sampled video frames - Thumbnail-aware composition checks for small previews - Popup controls for scanner on/off, image scanning, video scanning, threshold, and frame gap - Tick/cross feedback buttons for correcting mistakes - Local learning cache that stores compact feature feedback, not original images or videos - Reset button to clear the local learning cache Important accuracy note: AI media detection is probabilistic and adversarial. This extension is a local triage tool, not proof that an image or video is real or fake. Use the label as one signal alongside source, context, metadata, and common sense.
