Focus Timer
Overview
A Pomodoro timer that labels every session, so you can see where your focused hours actually went.
A Pomodoro timer that labels every session, so you can see where your focused hours went. Click the icon, choose what you are working on, press Start. The toolbar icon counts down the minutes left, red while you are focusing and green during a break, so you can close the popup and forget about it. When the time is up you get a notification and a short chime. Labels are the point. A plain timer tells you that you focused. A label tells you what on. After a week the stats page answers the question that actually matters: deep work or admin, and how much of each. WHAT IT DOES • Standard Pomodoro rhythm, 25 minutes of focus and 5 of break, with a longer break after every fourth session. Every length is adjustable • Label each session, and add a new label straight from the dropdown without opening settings • The minutes left show on the toolbar icon, so nothing has to stay open • A notification and a gentle chime when a session ends • Breaks can start themselves, so you do not have to remember • Start with your last label from anywhere with Alt+Shift+P • A stats page with the last seven days, your totals by label, and how many sessions you actually finished • Export to CSV for a spreadsheet, or JSON to move it to another computer BUILT TO SURVIVE BEING IGNORED Chrome shuts extensions down when they are idle, which is why many timers quietly stop or drift. This one keeps no countdown running at all. It saves the moment your session ends and sets an alarm for it, so the timer is correct whether you close the popup, open fifty tabs, or walk away. Close the browser mid-session and reopen it later and the session is recorded at its real length, not the hours that passed. IT ASKS FOR ALMOST NOTHING • No account and no sign-in • No access to any website. It cannot see what you browse, because it never runs on web pages • Everything is stored on your own computer • No tracking, no analytics, no advertising • It makes no network requests at all • Export or delete everything whenever you want WHAT IT DOES NOT DO Being straight about the limits. It does not sync between devices, so moving your history to another computer means exporting and importing a file. Walking away does not pause the timer. And it does not block any websites; it measures your attention rather than policing it.
