ChatSweep for ChatGPT

Bulk delete, archive, and manage ChatGPT chats and projects — with pause, stop, and safety confirmations.

ChatSweep lets you bulk manage your ChatGPT conversations and projects directly from the sidebar and search results. WHAT IT DOES • Bulk delete chats - select multiple conversations and delete them in one go • Bulk archive chats - archive conversations you want to keep but hide (reversible) • Bulk delete projects - remove entire ChatGPT projects including their chats and files • Move chats into a project, or remove them from one • Clean up chats inside a specific project, from the project's own page • Search and act - open ChatGPT's search, find chats or projects by keyword, and bulk-act on the results right there • Clean up projects from search too - the search results list projects as well as chats, and both can be selected • Pause, resume, or stop any action mid-run • Safety confirmations - deletion requires confirmation; project deletion requires typing a project name • Shift+Click to select a range of chats at once HOW TO USE 1. Click the ChatSweep icon on any ChatGPT page 2. Choose Chat Cleanup or Project Cleanup 3. Select items using checkboxes in the sidebar or search results 4. Click Delete, Archive, or Delete Projects 5. Pause or stop anytime - you're always in control PRIVACY & SAFETY • No data collection - ChatSweep never reads your chat content • No servers of our own - ChatSweep has no backend, and sends nothing about you or your chats to the developer or anyone else • Talks only to ChatGPT - to delete, archive or move an item, ChatSweep calls ChatGPT's own API using the session you are already signed in with, exactly as ChatGPT's own interface does. That traffic goes to OpenAI and nowhere else. • No tracking or analytics - zero telemetry • Minimal permissions - only requests access to the active tab when you click the icon PERMISSIONS EXPLAINED • activeTab - Access the current ChatGPT tab only when you click the extension icon • scripting - Inject the cleanup UI (checkboxes, toolbar) into the ChatGPT page, and read the project identifiers ChatGPT already holds for your sidebar rows so actions apply to the right project • storage - Remember if you've seen the welcome screen (no personal data stored) ChatSweep does NOT request host permissions for chatgpt.com - it only activates when you explicitly click the icon.
