I built ChatShelf because my Claude sidebar had become a graveyard. Hundreds of chats, no folders and a search bar that only looks at titles so finding one answer from three weeks ago meant scrolling for ten minutes. Gemini is even worse for the same. ChatShelf sits on top of claude.ai and gemini.google.com and fixes that. What you get : 1. Folders you can actually nest, separate from Claude Projects 2. Full text search inside every message, not just the chat titles 3. Bulk export to Markdown or JSON, 5 chats or 500, in one ZIP 4. There are no servers, no account and nothing gets uploaded anywhere. The only permission it asks for is storage. Free gives you 3 folders, the top 5 search results and exports of 3 chats at a time which is enough to see if it's for you.
