Chatmask
Overview
Hide ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, and Gemini sidebar chat names behind gibberish.
Chatmask hides sidebar chat names in ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, and Gemini. Recents titles become similar-length gibberish so someone glancing at your screen cannot read what you were talking about. It only changes conversation names in the sidebar. The open chat, messages, search, tab title, and your profile stay as they are. Rows stay clickable. Chatmask is open source and fully local. Nothing is sent to any server. There is no account and no analytics. The only permission is storage, so your on/off switch and app choices persist on this device. WHAT IT DOES • Masks Recents / history titles on ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, and Gemini • Same chat always gets the same fake name • Choose which apps are masked • Stays on across tabs until you turn it off • Restores real titles when inactive HOW TO USE 1. Open ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, or Gemini with the sidebar visible 2. Click the Chatmask icon and turn the switch Active 3. Sidebar names become gibberish 4. Uncheck an app if you do not want it masked 5. Turn the switch Inactive to restore titles 6. Refresh the chat page if names do not update Open source (MIT): https://github.com/shreyas-sreedhar/chatmask
