Keep useful AI conversations as files you control. ChatLedger turns the conversation open in Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini into a polished document or structured archive. Choose what to include, then export with one click. WHAT YOU CAN SAVE • Create a ready-to-share document, an editable copy for notes, or structured data for another tool • Adjust document contents, page numbers, margins, and text size • Selected messages, the latest turns, or the whole open conversation • Generated files and a screenshot of the current artifact or dashboard view • Markdown with optional YAML frontmatter for tools such as Obsidian and Notion COMPLETENESS YOU CAN SEE Claude and ChatGPT first try to read the conversation record supplied by the site. If that route is unavailable, ChatLedger falls back to the page and warns that a long thread may be partial. Gemini uses a scroll-and-bank page read and reports whether it reached the end. The result screen shows the capture status instead of silently claiming success. BULK BACKUP On Claude and ChatGPT, Export all chats creates an indexed .zip of Markdown files. Gemini bulk export is not available because the site does not expose a supported conversation-list route. CLEAN BY DEFAULT Reasoning and tool noise are excluded by default. An optional toggle includes reasoning where Claude or ChatGPT exposes it. If Chrome's built-in on-device Summarizer is available, you can also add a local summary to the export. PRIVATE BY DESIGN ChatLedger has no developer-operated server, account, analytics, or telemetry. Export rendering happens in the browser. When you request an export or generated file, the extension uses your existing signed-in session to request the conversation or file from the supported chat service. Your saved export goes through the browser's normal download system. Works from the toolbar popup or Chrome side panel. No extra ChatLedger account and no watermark.
