ChatGPT Search Tracker
Overview
Tracks the search queries in the ChatGPT conversation.
# ChatGPT Search Tracker Turn ChatGPT’s grounded search into actionable insights. This extension detects and organizes the search queries ChatGPT generates during an answer, so you can review, copy, and reuse them in your own research. ## What it does - Clearly lists the search queries ChatGPT issues while composing a response. - Groups results by domain and shows titles, URLs, snippets, and timestamps when available. - Lets you copy a single query, per-item JSON, all queries, or the full structured JSON in one click. - Streams live progress so you can watch queries appear in real time. - Supports manual extraction and an optional auto-extract mode. ## Key features - Query extraction from active ChatGPT conversation tabs. - Domain-based grouping of results for quick scanning. - Inline details with collapsible sections and “Copy” actions. - “Copy All” to grab unique queries across the whole response. - Live stats and stream view in the popup. - Clean results page for reviewing and exporting structured data. ## How it works - Runs on `chatgpt.com` and observes the response stream for grounded search metadata. - Assembles the streamed data into structured JSON and renders a results page you can interact with. - No data is sent off your device; processing happens locally in your browser. ## Permissions - Host permissions: `chatgpt.com` (to read the active conversation’s response stream). - Scripting (to inject the minimal logic needed to parse the live stream). - Storage (to remember your auto-extract preference). ## Requirements - A logged-in ChatGPT account. - Use on tabs with an open ChatGPT conversation. ## Quick start 1. Open a ChatGPT conversation on `chatgpt.com`. 2. Click the extension icon and choose “Extract search queries.” 3. Optionally enable “Auto extract” to capture queries automatically while you browse. ## Privacy - The extension does not collect, store, or transmit personal data to external servers. - All processing and data rendering happen locally within your browser session. # Changelog - 1.0.1: Bug fixes - Fix "Could not fetch conversation data" bug. - Fix bug with erronously displayed published date.
