When ChatGPT searches the web, it rarely runs one search. It splits your question into several searches, often in more than one round, and builds its answer from the pages those searches find. ChatGPT shows you only the first search of each round. This tool shows you all of them, the pages they found, and which of those pages made it into the answer as a citation. Open the tool on any ChatGPT chat to see, for every answer: • each round of searching, in order • every search ChatGPT ran in that round • the rounds where it read more pages without searching again • the pages each round found or read, grouped by site, with links • which of those pages the answer cites, with a count for each round (for example "8 pages found, 4 cited") Answers are listed newest first, under the prompt that started them. It works on older chats too. Press Copy to take an answer's searches and pages into a keyword tool or a spreadsheet, with cited pages marked. Why it matters: the searches decide which pages ChatGPT reads, and the pages decide which brands it names. ChatGPT cites only some of the pages it finds. If you work on SEO or brand visibility, these are the searches to rank for and the pages to be on. What it doesn't show: product searches, or which model answered. Nothing leaves your browser.
