When ChatGPT answers a web-grounded prompt, it quietly fans your one question out into many parallel search queries, reads a pile of sources, and cites only a few. Query Fan-Out surfaces exactly that — the real queries, the sources it retrieved, and the ones it actually cited — so SEO and GEO practitioners can see how their content does (or doesn't) get picked up. WHAT IT SHOWS • Fan-out queries — the actual search strings ChatGPT ran behind each prompt. • Sources — every page it retrieved, grouped by domain, with cited vs. not-cited marked. • Citations — the sources that made it into the answer, and from which domains. • A per-conversation summary: queries → sources → cited, at a glance. HOW IT WORKS Open the side panel and use ChatGPT normally. As answers stream in, captures appear — grouped by conversation. Drill into any conversation to inspect its fan-outs, copy any query or URL, and export everything as JSON or CSV. PRIVACY All captured data stays on your device (local browser storage). Nothing is sent to us or to any server we control. The extension only talks to ChatGPT using your own logged-in session, on chatgpt.com / chat.openai.com. Domain favicons are fetched from Google's public favicon service (the domain name only, no cookies, no referrer). Not affiliated with OpenAI.
