Chat Time Stamp
Overview
Appends your local time to every message you send on supported AI chat sites.
AI chat assistants don't know what time it is. Ask for "tonight", "this weekend", or "how long until my meeting" and they have to guess. Chat Time Stamp fixes that. When you send a message, it adds your local time to the end, like this: [Current local time: 2026-10-24 Sat 18:32 (Asia/Taipei, UTC+8)] No more typing "it's 6pm here" or asking the assistant to check the time. WHAT YOU GET • Works on Claude (claude.ai) and Gemini (gemini.google.com) • Fully transparent: the time line appears in the input box and in the conversation, so you always see exactly what was sent • Includes the date, weekday, time, time zone name and UTC offset • One-click on/off switch in the toolbar popup • Uses your computer's clock and time zone; daylight saving time is handled automatically PRIVACY • Collects no data and makes no network requests • Only runs on claude.ai and gemini.google.com • The only thing it stores is whether the switch is on or off • Open source: https://github.com/chihchiehhung/chat-time-stamp HOW TO USE Install, open Claude or Gemini, and send a message as usual. Click the toolbar icon to turn the extension on or off. Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic or Google. Claude and Gemini are trademarks of their respective owners.
