Chat Privacy Blur hides what you don't want others to see over your shoulder, while letting you read what you need. WHAT YOU CAN HIDE (each one toggles separately) • Chat list: every conversation on its own • Header: contact name, number and photo • Previous messages, images and videos • The message box • Anything else, with your own CSS selectors (Pro) HOW TO REVEAL • On hover: only the chat or message you point at is revealed • On click: reveal one at a time • Configurable delay to avoid revealing by accident • Hold a key (Alt by default, changeable) to see everything while you hold it PIECE BY PIECE • Hide only the photo, name, preview or time of each chat, and the photo, name and status in the header • In messages: text, time, large images and avatars separately (for example, see a voice note without its avatar) SENSITIVE DATA • Hide only phone numbers, emails, card numbers, verification codes and passwords inside messages, and keep the rest readable • Detected in your browser: nothing is sent anywhere PASSWORD LOCK (optional and free) • Cover WhatsApp Web with a password screen when you step away, by hand (Alt+K) or automatically after a few idle minutes • The password is never stored: only a salted hash in your browser • Keeps casual snoopers out; it does not replace locking your computer SITUATION PROFILES • Save your settings under a name (Office, Meeting, Home) and switch between them with one click MESSAGES YOUR WAY • Choose how many recent messages stay visible (0 to 50) • Your own sent messages: same as the rest, always hidden or always visible EXCEPTIONS • A list of chats or numbers that are never hidden (with a button to add the open chat) • Choose whether only the chat in the list is released or the conversation too, per contact 13 LANGUAGES • Español, English, Português (Brasil), Русский, 中文, 日本語, Français, Deutsch, Italiano, हिन्दी, العربية, Bahasa Indonesia and Türkçe, with a selector inside the extension TRANSPARENCY • A "Network activity" screen showing everything the extension does outside the browser (nothing from your chats) • A full settings page in addition to the popup EXTRA PROTECTION • Quick lock shortcut (Alt+L): hides everything, even on hover • Hide everything when you leave the window or switch tabs • Hide everything after a period of inactivity • Hide the tab title (avoids showing "(3) WhatsApp") • Blur or black-out style, adjustable intensity • Presets: Maximum, Reading and Screen share SELF-REPAIRING WhatsApp Web changes its HTML often. The extension tries several selectors and, if they fail, detects elements by structure. The popup shows what is detected and how. FREE AND PRO Everything essential is free: all sectors, hover or click reveal, quick lock and self-repair. Up to 2 exceptions and 2 profiles are free, and so are the password lock and sensitive-data blur. Pro (one-time payment, via Polar) adds unlimited exceptions and profiles, your own words to blur, idle and on-leave lock, black-out mode, hide title, your own selectors and the Maximum and Screen share presets. PRIVACY Everything happens in your browser. It does not collect, store or send your messages, contacts or personal data. No own servers, analytics or ads.
