Export the chat. Keep the context. Chat Porter is a desktop Chrome extension and AI chat exporter. It turns AI conversations into files you can keep and context you can reuse. Open a chat on ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, or Grok, then open the side panel to review the conversation and choose what to keep. Review and export Read every message, tick the ones you want, and save the selection as Markdown, PDF, doc, or copy as text. Code blocks keep their language, and tables, lists, links, quotes, and math survive the export. Attachments such as PDFs, documents, spreadsheets, and code files are included as typed links. You can keep or remove the assistant's reasoning before downloading. Continue in another chat Context mode creates a compact hand-off pack. Older turns are condensed while the latest exchange stays detailed, with a token estimate before you copy. Switch to the full transcript whenever you want every word. Desktop only Chat Porter runs in desktop Chrome on Windows, macOS, Linux, and ChromeOS. It is not available on Chrome for Android or iOS. Private by design Everything is processed locally. There are no accounts, analytics, or servers, and conversation content is never transmitted. The optional uninstall feedback form is the only place you can choose to send information, and it never asks for chat content. Chat Porter is free to use.
