ChatGPT's chat history is growing, but frequently used conversations are becoming increasingly difficult to find? Organize chats from the same project into folders to make the sidebar clearer. ChatGPT grouped chat logs into chatgpt.com and allowed adding nameable, collapsible chat folders. The interface remained simple: create folders first, then add the chats you need into them. Click the expand icon, create a new folder and enter a name. Open the folder, click "Add to Chat," search for titles and select multiple chats to organize them all at once. Chats from other folders will display their original groups; confirm and move them to the current folder. In the ChatGPT sidebar, clicking on a folder expands or collapses it, and clicking on a chat within it opens it. The collapsed state of each folder is saved separately, ensuring that the currently used item remains visible. The native recent chat list remains complete, while folders are displayed as independent areas, with the interface following ChatGPT's light and dark theme. The "More" menu for folders offers options to rename, move up, move down, and delete. You can adjust the display order of folders and move individual chats out of folders. Deleting a folder only removes the local group and does not delete the original chats in ChatGPT. Groups and chat directories are saved in the current browser, separated by ChatGPT account and workspace. The extension only reads chat titles, session identifiers, and update times to organize the directory; it does not read the chat content or upload chat directories or folder names to the developer. The extension is open source on GitHub. When reading the directory, ChatGPT session access credentials are only temporarily used in the webpage's memory and are not saved to the extension's local machine or sent to third parties. Supports Chrome 127 and later, and the interface offers 55 languages. Folders will not sync across devices, and uninstalling the extension will delete local groups.
